Summary

Fixed broken links and endpoint references across the Mobius Systems codebase. This cycle focused on:

  1. ✅ Updating MIC Whitepaper references from v2.0 to v2.1
  2. ✅ Fixing broken file path references
  3. ✅ Creating missing endpoint documentation files
  4. ✅ Standardizing endpoint URL formats
  5. ✅ Fixing directory path references

Changes Made

1. MIC Whitepaper Version Updates

Updated all references from MIC_Whitepaper_v2.0.md to MIC_Whitepaper_v2.1.md in: - docs/00-START-HERE.md - docs/INDEX.md - FOR-ECONOMISTS/README.md - DIPLOMACY/README.md - DIPLOMACY/MIC_INTEGRITY_STANDARD_WHITEPAPER.md - And 28+ other files via automated script

2. File Path Fixes

3. Directory Path Fixes

Fixed directory path references: - docs/02-architecture/ → docs/04-TECHNICAL-ARCHITECTURE/ - docs/06-operations/ → docs/06-OPERATIONS/ - Fixed double docs/docs/ paths - Fixed relative path issues in various files

4. Endpoint Documentation

Created missing endpoint files: - DIPLOMACY/ENDPOINTS.md - New endpoint documentation - DIPLOMACY/endpoints.json - Machine-readable endpoint catalog

Updated endpoint references: - Standardized API path formats (/api/v1/ → /v1/) - Fixed missing leading slashes in endpoint URLs - Fixed 221 files with endpoint reference issues

5. Architecture References

Fixed architecture documentation links: - ARCHITECTURE.md → docs/04-TECHNICAL-ARCHITECTURE/overview/ARCHITECTURE.md - IMPLEMENTATION/ → docs/05-IMPLEMENTATION/

Scripts Created

  1. scripts/check-broken-links.py - Comprehensive link checker that:

  3. Detects broken internal links
  4. Generates detailed reports

  5. Outputs JSON for programmatic access

  15. Fixes directory names like broker-/api back to broker-api

Files Fixed

  • 28 files fixed via automated MIC Whitepaper version update
  • 221 files fixed via endpoint reference standardization
  • Multiple files fixed manually for specific broken links
  • 2 new files created (DIPLOMACY endpoint documentation)

Remaining Issues

Some broken links remain due to: 1. Directory links without index files - Some directories exist but don't have README.md or index.md files 2. Archived/legacy content - Some links point to archived content that may have been moved 3. External dependencies - Some links may depend on external services or documentation

These can be addressed in future cycles as needed.

Testing

  • ✅ Link checker script runs successfully
  • ✅ No linter errors in created scripts (fixed unused imports)
  • ✅ All endpoint documentation files created
  • ✅ Major broken link patterns fixed
  • ✅ Fixed incorrect endpoint changes (//api/ → /api/, broker-/api → broker-api)
  • ✅ All Python scripts have valid syntax

Next Steps

  1. Consider adding CI check for broken links
  2. Create index files for directories that are linked but missing README.md
  3. Review and fix remaining directory links in future cycles
  4. Document endpoint changes in API changelog
